The minute they saw the pictures of the villa-eva.it they knew it was the perfect place for them.
Myself and the bridal party arrived on location two days before the wedding. The appointment for the declaration of marriage was booked for the next morning and the hair trials and manicures were arranged for the afternoon.
The couple had booked a beautiful, traditional villa with terraces for eating alfresco and incredible views. It was set away from the bustle of the town and gave them all a chance to relax and unwind.
This was for themselves and their close family to stay in for the lead up to the wedding day and the families would continue their holiday here after the wedding, while the couple had arranged a mini moon in a different location.
The night before the wedding, the bride and her maids booked themselves a luxury suite at the wedding venue's suster hotel villamaria.it which is where they would get ready the following morning.
Wedding day prep at Villa Maria, Ravello This duly arrived with beautiful sunshine and the preparations began.
First to arrive was the hairdresser, pieromansi.com closely followed by the photographers and videographers from effeunoquattro.it and so the preparation began. It was a chilled and happy morning filled with laughter and fun.
Finishing off with pictures on the balcony... and what a view!!
Then it was off to meet the father of the bride, nervously waiting downstairs.
Meanwhile, back at the villa, the groom and his men were preparing too.
Wedding ceremony
The walk to the ceremony was a gentle stroll through the cobbled streets of the ancient town of Ravello and as it was late afternoon, people had started to appear from their siestas, clapping and shouts of "Auguri"were heard as we made our way to the beautiful town hall gardens.
Even the local policeman stopping to congratulate the bride and her father.
And at last... the first look!!
The ceremony began, read in Italian and then translated into English and was full of personal readings and many tears and emotion.
And then finally... after two years of planning, on a day filled with sunshine and incredible views, they were married!!
The guests were led away to their apertivo by traditional Italian musicians, for an hour of chatting and chilling and gorgeous canapes and prosecco, while the happy couple took some time on their own to reflect and enjoy their first few minutes as a married couple.
And then they set off to join everybody else for their wonderful reception. Celebrations and dancing that lasted until the early hours, finishing with the bride and groom amazing their guests with a surprise duet!
An absolute perfect end to a wonderful day full of magical memories.
